Name expert Laura Wattenberg is known for her scientific approach to understanding name trends and culture. Her book The Baby Name Wizard (Broadway/Three Rivers 2005 & 2013) has sold a quarter million copies, and two million visitors per month consult the websites she founded, BabyNameWizard.com and NameCandy.com. (The sites were acquired by CafeMom in 2014.) The cultural analysis on her blog and her interactive web tools like the "NameVoyager" grapher and "Name MatchMaker" virtual consultant have helped shape a new understanding of the naming process. Laura received her B.A. from Wesleyan University and M.A. in psychology from Stanford University. She lives in Massachusetts with her husband and two daughters.
